The first thing that comes to mind, regarding humidity, is that it would need to be able to remove, and not just add. This may be a normal feature of these type units

anyway.

First name to come to mind: The Habano File.

It helps to incorporate a few fans to allow for even distribution of humidity. You may also want to consider a singles drawer and a place to put smoking accessories like lighters and cutters. Great Idea!!!

As for the name, How bout "The ROB-ador"?:-D

3. shelves that slide in/out for easy access.

4.Dark Glass door to be able to view from outside.

congrats. now we have concrete evidence that hell has indeed frozen over. i have seen the words 'value for money' in a sentence of yours. if you poke the bear...

Habanos Havens I think is a good name for the place your favourite cigars/bottles rest.

Besides you know when you go to it the goods will be resting nicely waiting for the right moment to be enjoyed.

I for one would like to see the door be interchangeable to open to the left or right.

Definitely a pull-out singles drawer...upgradeable to a double drawer.

An interior light.

Accessories Drawer or compartment.

Glass top to see your singles without having to open the door.

And last but certainly not least...They should be sold to members of FOH with a free "starter" box of Partagas SP2's. :-D

Driving to work this morning I would have what some of you religious may call an epiphany, besides not contributing to the overall style/construction etc I have thought of another (the first was pretty dodgy) fantastic name that must not be confused wth your local brothel:

'The Pleasure Chest'

Keep the drawers away (maybe an inch or 2) from the back, sides and bottom as condensation will get on the drawers.

Taking out humidity shouldn't be an issue, as the refrigeration unit should do that on its own.

Besides the ones listed above, refilling the humidification unit is an issue. An effortless task would be nice... if the reservoir and fan(s) are in the back, a fill spout on the top exterior would be nice. Getting to the back of mine to refill 4 reservoirs can be daunting.

Living in a climate that generally has an extremely high Humidity, I need to comment that your statement is not correct.

I have been using a "Wine Coolador" for awhile, and living in Florida, the refrigeration does not pull out the humidity enough during periods that the cooler is not running. Yes, when the cooler kicks on, the rh drops only while the system is running, but the cooler does not run 24/7, that is one of the reasons why having fans inside to spread the rh around the interior is important. So having a humidification system that can add as well as take out humidity is needed for a system to have a more "universal" capacity.

» The glass door should be UV proof.

I'd like to be able to get to singles without opening the door to the whole cabinet and disturb the rh and temp top to bottom. A flip top that opens to a large divided cedar drawer would be nice. Flip it up, grab a stick flip it down...

El Prez,

What is the latest status on this product? Are you still looking to manufacture such an item? And if so, when do you plan to go into production? Finally, do you have a ballpark idea on price? Thanks.

Hear Hear.

I for one am very interested if this is going ahead. I think most of the aussies will at the very least think about it.

Esp since this summer in Sydney, some days hitting 40+ celcius.

Chinese New Year coming up. I understand our prototypes will be here March a week after our return from havana.

Rob,

That sounds awesome. I can't really contribute any ideas for inclusions, however I think that it sounds good, so long as I have room for my singles and accessories.

I would really like to know an idea of price as I want to start saving Now!
