Popular Post Corylax18
We did a crazy big aged stock split last year in the CUNTUS forum. Got some great sticks, but hadn't had the time to devote to one until tonight. This cigar was absolutely beautiful. Smooth milk chocolate wrapper with very faint seams and veins. The cigar is hard as a rock from tip to tail, a quick punch reveals more resistance on the draw than I prefer, but definitely workable. Cold draw is tobacco and a sour citrus note. 1st Third opens with a blast of nuts and some sweetness. Extremely smooth, but the draw is tight, restricting the smoke output. The ash fell off by itself after about 3/4". Definite Hazelnuts and an undefined sour flavor. 2nd Third shows the nuts fading and a grassy flavor takes it place and the sourness picks up even more. Its at this point I realize I really dislike the smell of this cigar, bitter and ashy. I am really enjoying the flavors though. Smoke out put opens up along with the draw. Final third, the sourness and sweetness are still being delivered smooth and silky. Smoke output/density continues to increase. The final inch of the cigar changes entirely. The sourness and grassyness completely disappear. The sweetness gets "darker" more like an El Principe, a saltiness and very pleasant floral/perfumy note develop. Conclusion; Closer to mild than medium and smooth as silk. If I had a box of these I would burn my fingerprints off. Constant development over the 1 hour 20 minute smoke time. Burn was perfect and draw ended up being great. The cigar continued getting better as it smoked, and it was hard to put down. 10 years have done wonders, I wish I had more!

foursite12
Same source; burned mine late last year, with same reaction. A lovely cigar that took me by surprise, I must say.
