Above is right. AMO is 2016 and MUO is 15 although you may find MUO on 2014 boxes as well. My favorite box is an el laguito MOU 14 box of RyJ churchills.

Ok - I wasn't sure.

How do people find out the factory codes? I thought they changed frequently?

In my case the box was purchased from our host on 24:24 and it was indicated that it was an El Laguito box code, otherwise i would not know.

See the above post for one part of how codes are discovered.  Secondly certain Marcas and/or vitolas generally come from certain factories.  You'll see most of your Upmann (but not all) come from H. Upmann Factory (LUB, MEG recently).  Bolivar and La Gloria Cubana almost always from Partagas factory (ULA, ETP recently).  La Corona (EML, TOS recently) produces nearly all of the Cuaba, SCDLH, and PL.  Most Cohiba Lanceros and Behikes come out of El Laguito (MUO, AMO recently).  Lately we have seen a fair amount of Partagas E2, and D4 from AMO.  There was even a small stretch of Montecristo Petite Edmundo with AMO code.  The provincial factories outside of Havana are a bit harder to guess and even in a previous post on here @Bohn007 figured out for us cigars which were supposed to be rolled at El Laguito were rolled at a Santa Clara provincial factory (SOM) due to high demand.  Hope this answers some of your questions.

As a side note, and for whatever it's worth I am a big D4 fan and have a few boxes from several different codes.  I will say the El Laguito ones I have seem to have an extra bit of sweetness I've never experienced in a D4 before.  Probably in my head though--if tasted blind I probably wouldn't even notice it!!

Seen a lot of E2s with AMO Code.  I'd bet a 5er it's the same mold used for an E2 as a BHK 54...maybe same with CORO and D4 and Monte PE and BHK 52....
