Popular Post fabes
I recently acquired a single to see what this release is all about. Admittedly, I do not want to like it based on the vitola and limited nature, but we shall see how she fares. Lovely looking cigar with a powerful aroma. No discernable soft or hard spots. Just firm throughout. I take a small sliver off the cap to attempt to preserve a comfortable smoking experience. It starts out more full than I expected from my past experience with LGC 2 & 4s. Upper medium body for me and complex flavors that seem to complement each other nicely. I'm getting a soft spice. Creamy coffee middle. Very similar to cold brew coffee with horchata mixed in. If you haven't tried that, get on with it. Half cold brew coffee, half horchata. Simply wonderful! I find the larger rg cigars harder to smoke because I have troubke keeping an even burn throughout. Either I smoke it too quickly to keep the wrapper burning with the filler or the gentle puffs from smoking 42rg and below cigars doesn't keep the bigger guys burning the filler/wrapper at the right rate. Maybe it's a technique issue, but I'm not aiming for much practice on the big guys. The picture above is an example where half the cigar is smoking past the burn line and half smoking under the burn line. Like a simultaneous cone/tunnel. Flavors were off kilter during this point. Burn corrected in the final third and she had a lovely finish. I really enjoy the flavors of this cigar. It was delicious and I think it was an RE that certainly had character. Unfortunately the price point for a box is too high in my opinion.

JohnS
Thanks for being brave enough to give this a go young @fabes! I have a few myself but don't want to touch them until they aged a few years, (it's) just my preference. Great review!
David88
Thanks for the review, these look great and sound as though they are a great smoke. Such a shame about the price and massive RG!

I think if it wasn't for the contests, I would probably have just let it sit in my humidor til who knows when. Happy to try it young, and it was worth it.

El Presidente
Brilliant Cigar. Stupid Price PCC own goal. Selling well in Asia after a slow start. Word got out in relation to the excellent blend.
