peterk814 Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Hi everyone, I have a friend who is relatively new to smoking and he recently tried a monte anejado churchill which he absolutely loved. I think it was the medium body and strength coupled with that traditioanally sweet chocolate flavor profile the monte's traditionally have. Not being a monte smoker myself do you guys have any other recommendations for other cigars in monte's line that have a similar taste profile but smaller? think the churchills are a bit much. Thanks
CaptainQuintero Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I'd say the no.1 and the no.3 would be a good starting place. Both smaller and both are great examples of the best of Monte. 1
NSXCIGAR Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I don't think the Anejado is a good representative of the Monte line. It's origins are highly questionable at best and it's profile is...interesting, to say the least. ^^ Agree with the Captain--Monte 1 and Monte 3 are your best bets to get a good handle on Monte.
JohnS Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 In my opinion, after I've enjoyed a few last year (and early this year), the Ramon Allones Gigantes is closest to the flavour profile of the Montecristo Churchill Anejados. Unhelpful for you, as the Gigantes is still a Double Corona-sized cigar. 1
ATGroom Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Perhaps a 2006 Sancho Panza Coronas Gigantes... 2
