For those of you that don't only buy from the 24:24s but also from the online store, what kind of quality do you typically see? PSP, HQ?

There's an online store????

Just kidding.

When I inquired about a box, through the retail channel, I was told they would likely fall into the PE category.

I got a couple Dip2s and CORO Tubos singles recently which were the finest examples of each cigar I've ever seen.  The Dip2s almost made me shed a tear they were so oily and dark and smelled incredible.  And then I opened the COROs to find the same thing.  Had to be PSP for sure.  I can't say if this is normal, but they were gorgeous.

Can confirm that quality is stunning as usual. Recently made my first purchase from the retail shop and the SLR Serie A's I received are gorgeous. That reminds me that I should try one now that they are rested. Looks like I have plans next weekend!

From what I understand, of the boxes that are inspected (many, if not most?), some will fail and not be sold. I am a new guy, and about to place my first order. As someone who has a pretty limited amount of cash to spend on cigars, it's important to me that I am not left entirely to chance, and that I can minimize my chances of getting a crap box. I don't have the option of buying Habanos from a B&M and inspecting them myself prior to purchase. Having a vendor that stands behind their product and looks out for the consumer means a lot for someone in my shoes.

I'll be placing my first order in the next day or two. If I don't score a 24:24 deal, I'll grab a tenner of HdM EEs or HU Magnum 50s.

Your in luck...there is 0% chance you get a crap box from Rob.

Those are for a certain loony from Brisbang.  His name rhythms with Laramie.

They are across all grades.

This had actually crossed my mind as well--at the prices listed, does that reflect a particular grade or does that vary based on personal request? IOW, does the price change if one requested a PE box versus a PSP box or is it just all fall into the "hand picked" category at the price listed?

As far as I'm aware, online orders are not cherry picked. They are inspected for faults, but you get what you get (run the gamut from PE to PSP).
