Popular Post skalls Posted March 6, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 6, 2016 This came from a box that I missed out the first time they showed up on the 24:24. Got in on that second batch. It's from USE Oct11. Pre-Light: Firm draw but manageable. Cigar smells like a mixture of cut grass, hay, and a barnyard. Beautiful March day in Fargo, was 62 in the shade on my deck with a light wind. 1st Third: Viscous feeling smoke. Great smoke output. Medium bodied with tastes of dough, grass/hay, and some floral notes. Not overly complex but very very smooth. 2nd Third: Smoke output continued to be great. Smoke wasn't as think but the drop off was pretty minor. Lost the floral notes during this third. Wasn't a major transition. I'd say the dough flavors are the predominant flavors I'm getting. Final Third: Floral notes came back, but were in the background. Doughy flavors remained dominant throughout the last third. Body, smoke output, and viscosity didn't change. Overall: Very enjoyable cigar. The Hermoso #4/Robusto size is one of my favorites. I was impressed with just how smooth this cigar was. Burn time came in at 65 minutes. The ash held firm for each third and was generally pretty sharp burning. Each time I ashed I did have one tiny bit of wrapper that I had to touch up, but other than the cigar was just a delight. 93/100 I've never had a fresh one of these so I really don't know if these will evolve much more, but this box will likely last me a couple years. And if these ever pop up on a 24:24 again I'll be getting another box. 7

JohnS Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Yes, great review skalls! I know that when PCC have sent on H.Upmann Connoisseur No.1 boxes from 2011 that they have never failed to sell out when listed on 24:24.

RijkdeGooier Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Nice review. They should evolve with much more age to show more Upmann pedigree.
