Along these lines, is there a time frame which Habanos discontinues a vitola? Say every 3 years? Or do they cut at random?

Beyond what has been said already, I can see the increased growth of certain leaves or strains make it easier to roll the bigger cigars; there's more material for them vs. the skinny cigars.  Obviously, first and foremost is sales.  Sales numbers steer the ship in any business.

I’m curious as to when they pull a plug on a specific vitola. Is there a set time they announce discontinued sticks? Last round of official discontinuations I’ve seen was 2017.
