What do you do for the cold winter months, do you have a set up outside to keep you warm while you enjoy your favorite stogie? Crack the window turn on a fan and suck the smoke out and turn on a heater for some warmth, and the. Odor bomb after a really heavy session with friends. skalls Posted November 30, 2015 Share Posted November 30, 2015 Have an electric space heater for my garage, which only really warms up everything within 3 feet of it when I reload ammo in the winter. Fire that thing up and sit next to it and it would keep me warm enough to enjoy most cigars. Not sure I'm interested in having double coronas/double robustos in the winter though. I bought the 20 lb tank adapter (no need for a separate filter if you do btw) and have used it for a number of smokes already. I have probably used half a tank. Overall pretty good in terms of propane useage. Make sure to get the fan adapter or you will burn money on batteries. I like it so far. Much better than electric heat but had its limitations. I will probably bring out a reddy heater to instnantly heat the room, then use the buddy to keep it up. Not sure about the smell from the reddy heater, though. However, space heater in the garage with door partially open does the trick in a pinch. It does get cold, so I keep the smoke to a robusto or smaller.... Works good enough for me - thin gloves when needed. Like the winter season a lot. A crisp night with frost is equally enjoyable as a hot summer night. perkinke Posted December 2, 2015 Share Posted December 2, 2015 I bought a temporary greenhouse (plastic cover and powder coated steel pipe frame) and a propane heater a couple years ago and that does remarkably well, even when we went below zero F last year for a week. Kbb Posted December 2, 2015 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Temp dictates clothing layers. Then I get a fold out canvas chair. I lay a cheap, washable electric blanket on the chair. Set the blanket to high and then sit. Depending on weather this can be done in garage or porch. Just need an extension cord. Keeps the heat on me and no fumes from a heater. Makes for a comfy, warm chair. Store the blanket in the garage and wash it as needed. Works pretty well so far. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
