72 is way too high for my taste. Since I started storing and smoking at 65%, I have had a much better experience in taste, burn, and draw.

72? 75?? How do they not burst?

I keep my cigars like a cooked sausage with all the flavors marinating in there while they rest. Gotta pop it before I cut it to let it drain a bit and then they're good to go!

ALERT! ALERT!

Looks like there was a serious 0.00002% drop in humidity around 5.32pm on the 17th of October, Piggy.

Sabotage? Must be time to call in the Feds. help.gif

Crazy people that use the e-cigs don't realize that PG in an ingredient in most of the liquids they 'smoke' in those things. Imagine, inhaling PG directly into your system!

PG is only an alcohol formulated by fermentation of yeast and carbohydrates. A lot safer than inhaling Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Oxide, Arsenic and the other thousands of chemicals in cigarette smoke, which is usually the substitute.

I still use it along with a single 65 Boveda pack. I infrequently have to replace the Boveda (a couple times a year) and it keeps everything to my liking.

The idiots that 'smoke' those exploding electronic cigarettes inhale the vapor liquid that contains PG! But we know that electronic cigarettes are safer and are allowed in non-smoking establishments.

Only beada and Boveda in my humis!

I use 3 69% boveda packs in my 50 count humidor. I found that 65% wasn't good for me a lot of cracking while smoking.

Unfortunately it's the hazards of my job. Ever been to a concert, all that fog is made of the same stuff.

One of the main ingredients for asthma (as well as many other) inhalers is PG and has been for many years.

Exploding e-cigs is actually pretty rare considering the widespread use. I believe most of these failures can be traced to very cheaply made products imported from China with no regard to safe practices and quality assurance.

I've been building e-cig stuff for years and have yet to have any issues because I am very careful as to where my equipment has sourced and what QA was performed during the manufacture of said equipment.

I am a very big supporter of the Boveda packs but I feel they are quiet expensive... you have to pay to play.

Isn't it PG in the Boveda packs that holds the water?

Bovedas are Propylene Glycol powered. :o

O.K., that was just for shock value (but there really might be a tiny bit in each pak). Mostly Bovedas are FDA approved food grade salts. Here's their Humidpak ingredients:

Water: 40-60%

Sodium Chloride 20-30%

Potassium Chloride 7-10%

Xanthan Gum and/or Propylene Glycol Alginate and/or Gellan: 0.5-2%

I had a Boveda get squished on a 10 pack of Party P2's and soak through the box and into the foot of the cigars. After dithering over the matter and then finding the above information, I smoked them anyway and damn they were tasty! :cigar:

We still sell it in the shop and new cigar smokers always ask me, I just point them to the Boveda packs, and set them straight.
