Popular Post Habana Mike Posted October 12, 2015 Popular Post Posted October 12, 2015 Just recently received a box of these and the first couple were fantastic. Figured this would be a good one for a review. Silky oily Colorado Claro wrapper with no visible veins. Perfect construction, excellent draw. Bouquet of nuts, oak, toasty tobacco. Cedar, hay, nutmeg prelight Sweet butter cream on the light. Thich smoke, medium body. Very light ash. Smooth, balanced, rich and flavorful. Pastry, balsam, cream and cinnamon. Cappuccino slips in with a mild nuttiness at the midpoint. Sugar on the lips. Tastes intensify. Burn line is slightly off but no worries, expect it will correct. Ash falls, slightly flaky and still almost white. Sandalwood and spice on the retrohale, almost incense-like. Buttery mouthfeel. Cinnamon and nutmeg become more apparent nearing the final third. Very mild white pepper through the nose now. Burn line still a little off but not enough to bother with. Wrapper darkens with oils as I approach the end of the cigar. Touch of tingling and bitterness on the lips just before I shut it down. Most likely due to pace as much as youth, I'd picked up a bit toward the finish. Right about an hour on this one. An excellent example of this easy-going cigar perfect for morning or first smoke of the day. Sweet creamy goodness - recommended! 17

jackattack Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I'm sold! Beautiful looking stick. not much experience with ERDM line....to my detriment it appears. Thanks for the heads up.

Fumadoro Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Great review! I really enjoy this cigar and it looks like the flavors you picked out were very similar to my experiences. I love the spiced nuts and cream!
ElAbogado Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Nice review. This is one of the marcas I haven't gotten around to yet. Seems a lot of folks find them to be too mild. May have to pick some up. Thanks for sharing.
SCgarman Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Much too mild for my palate. Almost flavorless. Meh. When my one and only box is gone, no more for me.
Habana Mike Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 Much too mild for my palate. Almost flavorless. Meh. When my one and only box is gone, no more for me. Could be your particular box. I've had many that didn't present much in the way of flavor either. This one however...excellent!
Habana Mike Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 any Herbal or floral notes? I imagine the incense-like sensation could be considered a bit floral but not the way I typically pick those notes up.
nick2021 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Thanks for sharing this review, one of my favorite smokes!
FHFinster Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 One of my favorites sticks. Sadly my pallet isn't always rested enough to enjoy the sublte flavors.
joejack11 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 wish my HQ erdm CS looked nearly as good as yours
BonVivant Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 review is much appreciated BUT, with about 6-7 codes of aged ERDM CS available from the partner site, and breeding by the minute, like rabbits, why would anyone look at 2014s? Just a thought to consider
