A friend of mine has stated on several occasions. " I can always tell when I've had a good cigar..... Afterwards I always have the best bowel movements. ". Anyone skip the metamucil or exlax in favour of a nice robusto? Does any cigar in particular get you moving? Or is my buddy full of sh#t ?

I'm an evening smoker and morning pooper. Coffee does it for me. Can't say I've felt the urge after a cigar.

it might seem odd but on occasion - certainly not every time or anything like - a good cigar really does seem to do the job. perhaps i am just old.

Well you often claim to taste stewed fruit in your cigars Ken, perhaps it's just that? ;)lol3.gif

This is true for high nicotine bombs ... ie certain NC. Oliva V used to do that to me. Dont miss cigars like that at all.

I love a good post-cigar poop! If I don't smoke or use tobacco for a day or two, I do notice lose regularity. Big NC pepper/nicotine bombs will also cause an immediate reaction sometimes as others have mentioned.

Nicotine is a stimulant laxative so only natural. Back in my school days when I was studying in France I smoked an occasional cigarette. Let me tell you, when you smoke a cigarette first thing in the morning, you'll be going to the bathroom shortly.

The worst is getting the urge in the middle of a good cigar. It can really send a good time downhill fast. I need to build an outhouse, then there would be no missing anything.

LOL this thread is hilarious. Your friend might be on to something as for sure as an ex-cigarette smoker, a ciggy and coffee and the morning always would get me going. Can't say the same though for a cigar, but i imagine the concept to be similar.

Wouldn't a suppository work better than using a cigar? lol3.gif
