I know this is a bit late, but I figured I would step-up and complete my newbie Intro. Hello fellow BOTL! I am Software guy by profession and a stogie guy by relaxation! I have enjoyed cigars for almost 20 years now. Start when I tried one of my roommates H. Upmann PCs while also trying my first Guinness studying abroad in London. I have been a fan of both ever since. Starting cigars while living in London set the bar high for expectations, only to be let down by most brands when returning stateside. Thank goodness for the Fuente family for making decent cigars to hold me over between the rare trip out of the country.

Enjoying cigars has always been a great way to meet new people and start a conversation. I have always enjoyed kicking back and enjoying a good cigar with friends and co-workers. I have even been blessed to have a father-in-law who has a great screened in porch and enjoys cigars. Now, being a father of two kids myself, it is always nice break from the hectic life to sit out on the porch enjoy a fine cigar from somewhere in the Caribbean along with a good drink.

Greetings and welcome! Smoke up before winter hits!!!

Definitely!!! It definitely gets more difficult finding a warm place to smoke a cigar come mid-Jan to Feb around here. The only places legally left to smoke a cigar around that time is the local cigar shops and they currently lack good Cubans (hopefully not too much longer)! I believe some bars in Wisconsin still allow you to smoke. Still searching for them.

I saw an interview with the actor Gill Bellows who said he was a smoker till he got an acting job in Chicago. He said trying to smoke outside in the heart of winter in Chicago was enough to break his urge to smoke.
