Cool experiment. I will be interested to hear the outcome. I bet you do notice a difference in flavor, quality of burn, etc. Especially between 62 and 69.

Just guessing the cigars in order from left to right...

1) Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill

2) Bolivar Royal Corona

3) Montecristo Petit Edmundo (Of course, one of your absolute favourite cigars...I've got to pick up some myself!)

4) Partagas 8-9-8.

Can you blind the test somehow?

Great thread and good idea.

Stunod perhaps you could get a friend/family member to tape over the numbers and put A-C or 1-3?

This would be critical.

I agree. I also think I have to smoke three of the same in a row. For example if I start with the Monte PE, smoke them before I move on to the Wide Churchills.

Definitely...comparing notes with the same cigar is a good idea!

Excellent thread. I would suggest keeping them in close proximity to one another so that they are in the same temperature zone.

Whilst taste is subjective I predict you'll like them in the order of 62RH, 65RH,69RH but that also assumes that each stick is of similar characteristics to it's counterpart in the other bags. Sadly you can never know this but don't let it deter you.

Not sure if you posted in another thread but did you end up following through with the tasting? How did it go? I'm very interested.

I'm second-guessing stunod here, but he probably is giving the cigars at least 30 days in their different set-ups before reporting back. Personally, I feel there would be no harm to wait up to 60 days even, but 30 should suffice for this experiment you'd think.

Sorry yes I am guessing you are right. I am used to using forums with the dates written American style. I thought this was posted back in June and not August. My bad.

Looking forward to the results in due course.

I recently purchased some aged 08 HDM Eps 2 tubos, I took them out of the tubos and it sat my humidor at 67 RH for about 2.5 weeks. My friends and I 3 of them last night, it was smooth but spicy (I couldn't resist trying). I should have left it rest for another 3-4 weeks...but sometimes our desires get the better of us
