Ryan Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I saw that this morning too. Looks nice. It has been a while though since I came across a use for the term "putting lipstick on a pig". I clicked on the revolving link for the 18th Habanos Festival and the information only goes as far as the 17th (the last one). I have heard though that next year's festival starts on Monday 29th feb.
JohnS Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 It's a definite improvement. I've just enjoyed looking at the 'Academy' link, where you can get good general information on Cuban Cigars but I wonder where they've sourced their information from? For instance, compare: http://www.habanos.com/en/el-mundo-del-habano/sabores-de-las-diferentes-marcas-y-lineas/ to: http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/info-cigars.aspx#Cigar_Flavour_by_Brand http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brands.aspx Having said this, there is excellent information here, for example: http://www.habanos.com/en/el-mundo-del-habano/principales-formatos/ http://www.habanos.com/en/el-mundo-del-habano/estilos-de-presentaciion/
Smallclub Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 where you can get good general information on Cuban Cigars but I wonder where they've sourced their information from? You wonder where HSA source its information about habanos? 1
smokinjaycutler Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I'm liking the check your knowledge section of the site. It's under the academy link.
JohnS Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 You wonder where HSA source its information about habanos? It was a rhetorical question... This was published well before this similar (or should I say, identical) information was put up onto the Habanos Website.
Smallclub Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 This was published well before this similar (or should I say, identical) information was put up onto the Habanos Website. err... no. The strenght classification and the availability by countries were already published on HSA leaflets in the early 2000's (and probably before, but the oldest I have is from 2003). The world didn't start with the web…
TomF Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 The Authenticity Check appears to be completely screwed up. And the "Oops! I'm sorry the site is very busy" bandwidth issue is still an issue.
El Presidente Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 If you can't smoke indoors..there is absolutely no benefit in being one . ....some would say that there is no benefit in being one even if you can smoke indoors
