Not my day.

Fired up what seemed like a perfect VRDA (ORL SEP 12), only to find it was plugged. Tried clipping and starting again, but to no avail. Like trying to suck porridge through a straw.

Gave up and fired up my first ever Siglo II. Horrible, uneven burn and harsh, bitter flavours. Persevered, but no joy.

Third time lucky? Or is fate telling me not to bother today?

Fates telling you to drink an adult beverage or three.

I just finished up on a horrible box of Siglo III's from MUL DIC13. At least half the box was plugged, including every one of the last three. Almost completely plugged and unsmokeable. The ones that were good were really spectacular, and they all lived their whole lives in the same box in the same humidor, so it wasn't a storage problem. They were just very inconsistently rolled. Very disappointing.

Needless to say they did not come from FOH.

It happens. I had a week like your day at the beginning of the year that had me questioning my Karma :)

Needles to say, it was an isolated experience and I have had stellar cigars since.

I'll be honest here. I don't give a cigar much time before I toss it. I had a horrible Doule Edmundo, I smoked about 15 minutes and tossed it. No way I'm going to suffer thru the whole cigar.

I"ve been very lucky the last few yeas, buying quality stock from our host, not many turds. Btw the Double Edmundo was a blind buy from somewhere else.

Live it too short to muddle thru crap cigars.

Look on the flipside...look forward to the days when you light up a few cigars and they are all glorious.

I had two excellent cigars (a Montecristo No. 4 and a Cohiba Piramides Extra) and a good one (a Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona) the other night. Yes, they came from our host.
