Well these have two years on them and so far not impressed. Draw and appearance were great...lit right up and had zero burn issues. Problem was the taste was really not there. Sure, a basic tobacco and all but otherwise uninteresting. These guys might be in a little flat phase...will have to see how they are at Christmas and I will report back in on the development. How are your 2013 RASS smoking?

I have to agree with my current dwindling RASS stock not meeting expectations either. My recent RASCC procurement are stellar right now however.

I fully agree, I have 10 rascc from two different splits but they are wonderful.

the RASS I have left are MUR OCT 13 and have been lousy

MUR OCT 13 here too. Psp rated. Only sampled one or two and to the bottom back side they went. Need more time. Was not dud and flat but not pronounced at all. They will be bloody good in a year or two. Still oily as hell...Im not worried ;-) they will come along

To be clear mine were purchased from another trusted vendor not Czars. They were maybe PE equivilents, just didnt di it for me compared to other RASS I have had.

Did they smoke better ROTT or would they just need more down time? I picked up a box on 24:24 but still a little unclear on how to know when to smoke vs. rest.

I don't know, did not smoke any rott... Like I said I dont worry, I truly believe it just needs time. Plenty of room there. Generally I think RASS is not the best without some time on it but there are Gent's on the other side as well. Rascc is more approachable younger but I dont smoke them under 2 usually... this is just me however

I wish I could remember who said they need 3 years...anyway I am with him...

My limited experience with RASS, one cab '06, was that the cigars were nothing special until they were more than 5 years old.

You are correct. Tonight i dig deep and founf a TEB 07 RASS...pure tobacco bliss. Smooth and fruity tones with a mild cedar undertones. Again I think my MUR box was an off example.
