bugg4672 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I was wondering what neat, cool little things some of you have done with your old cigar labels. I have a big Rubbermaid container full of old labels, I have a lot of time and money invested in these little paper rings. I can not just throw them out like trash....they are like my kids. So any ideas of what I could do with them.
Popular Post polarbear Posted May 7, 2015 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2015 I feel the same way I've never liked the look of cigar band tables/doors etc but they do look nice in a fancy jar. My missus calls them cigar confetti 6
muzz Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I was staring to save some of the bands to do a table or maybe a wine barrel but I like the fancy cigar confetti and will try this for now. 1
bugg4672 Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 @polarbear I think I will do that, looks pretty DAMN COOL. I also have a few jars that look like those.
Popular Post Smallclub Posted May 7, 2015 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2015 You guys are little players j/k I have 2 cabs of 50 DCs, several big size Ziplock bags, several carafes, jars, etc. full of bands. Between 3000 and 4000, I guess… I don't even know why I keep them since I really don't like humidors or coffee tables or whatever decorated with bands… 5
Popular Post Puros Y Vino Posted May 7, 2015 Popular Post Posted May 7, 2015 I did this a while back with some of my bands. 6
hellorockview12 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Cool ideas here! I have mine on display in a very large ornamental wine glass on a buffet in the dining room along side Habanos matches and a few tubos. It's like a little modest shrine. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with them now that it's overflowing. A buddy of mine bought clear glass Christmas ball ornaments and put them in there for some CC themed festive tree ornaments. He does the same with tubos using a screw and hook into the lid of the tubos.
bluesmokebloke Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Last summer I covered the surface of a smokeless ashtray for my basement bar. Please excuse the bands; I'd only just started smoking. 3
nick2021 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Last summer I covered the surface of a smokeless ashtray for my basement bar. Please excuse the bands; I'd only just started smoking. ashtray.jpg nice! Although I must ask....how was the Gurkha? 1
bugg4672 Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 @bluesmokebloke nothing wrong with those labels, I'm fairly new in the cigar world myself. My favorite everyday smoke is the Schizo my second is Prize Fighter, However all of that might change when I receive my first box of CC I ordered last week.
smokum Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I glued them to the inside of my garage door. Ex wife has the garage door. 3
JohnS Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 No more than my share ;-) I'm looking forward to matching you down the track!
bluesmokebloke Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 @bugg4672, thanks for that - I'm also awaiting my first shipment (went for the new to Habanos sampler). Here's hoping both parcels arrive safe & sound! Honestly I don't recall the Gurkha, but for all their shortcomings I have to say I find their bands & packaging pretty cool. It's funny how little correlation there is between quality of art & smoke. Aging Room is fairly well-regarded for a NC but the label is atrocious.
AbuAmelia Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I put my bands on a outdoor table under a glass where I smoke usually. 2
Stogieninja Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I'm not a fan of the homemade/ arts-n-crafts look, so I went with a glass display method, in my case a lamp: It's clean enough my wife likes keeping it the living room (and she's not a fan of cigar memorabilia). When this is full, I'll go get a big round vase for the top of my Wineador. 4

Stogieninja Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Thats cool, did you make this?noooooo. Lol. Not only do I not care for the homemade look, I'm incapable of making anything. It's from Pier1. 1
