UnofficialGhost Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Hello everyone! I've been a member for a bit, but not one in good standing as I browse a lot but contribute virtually nothing. Hopefully this will start changing that. I've been smoking premium cigar for approx 10 years, but until about 3 years ago it was very infrequent. I would usually keep 10'ish on hand in my desktop humidor and smoke once or twice a month. I was a creature of habit, and was very limited in my exposure to the multitude of options on the market. That changed when I joined another cigar forum. By participating in trades and bombs, I was able sample different brands, wrappers, and vitolas. I started buying more of what I liked, quickly outgrowing my desktop humidor and upgraded to an 18-bottle thermoelectric wine refrigerator that was converted in a wineador. In short order I started to regret not buying a 28-bottle unit. My first exposer to Cubans was by purchasing an aged sampler from a member of the forum.... 10 cigars, each aged 3-5 years and 2 aged 8+ years. Seemed like a fair price so I jumped on it. There was nothing EL or HTF, just some incredibly aged regular production stuff. Currently I am deepest on Ramon Allones and Bolivar. I prefer PC, Corona, and CG vitolas. Really anything 50 RG or smaller is preferable, but between my wife, 15 month old son, work, and school I find that I have limited amounts of time to decompress with a cigar. I take every moment I can steal away though. In recent news, my actual first post was about a box of Cuaba Exclusivos I recently purchased to age. Instead I got a box dated 2001... Guess I won't need to put them to sleep after all. Cheers!
Habana Mike Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Greetings and welcome to FOH! Hope those Cuabas burn well and true. Cheers
