I'm Thankful...

...that there are still cigar shops and lounges. That there are still cigar (related) magazines. That there are still producers from many regions. That there are still people who simply enjoy a cigar for the simple joy it can be.

I'm more and more discouraged by the seemingly growing number of antis - within the so-called "cigar community". This magazine sucks. These producers. This shop. That shop. Those people.

I'm a simp - I don't get it.......

Grateful x2! Especially the people, the cigar enthusiasts I've met through FoH in a short time I truly appreciate. In Australia our cigar shops and lounges are practically gone, and a few of us met on Monday night for a smoke and laugh at a cafe to smoke outdoors, but only until July 6th this year when the law changes (and disallows it).

"That there are still people who simply enjoy a cigar for the simple joy it can be"....yes, I agree, the more anti-laws and culture around, the more I enjoy gathering with other BOTL's for a herf and laughs.

Ahhhh the "Internet"

The net is just a magnifying glass for the soul. Personal traits (good and bad) become magnified. That is why you see such tremendous acts of generosity.....and such pitiful examples of pettiness/whinging.

Here Here!!

I'm so thankful for all of you here as well as all those who write articles, edit magazines, and create a multi-deminsional forum for our passion. Thank you to all those who are a part of this relatively forgotten, yet so important cultural past time.

Virtually gone are the days of all business deals being closed with a fine cigar and every corner office having a humidor on its desk. Oh to go back to the days of yore.

There's a show called IT CROWD there is an episode where they must go outside and it looked like Gorky Park in old USSR and then made to move again miles away they were all to gather in a area the size of a bus shelter to have a smoke but still outside we are in the land of the long weekend sandy beaches and FREE or are we heading to total governance like sheep were to go when to go and protect us from all things without question.

Well almost. Restaurants and Cafés won't be allowed to have any smoking within 4 metres of their entrances or where food is served. The place we went to on Monday could work around it after July if no food or drink is served. This is not likely because the question will be how a restaurant or café could stay in business without food and drink sales for smokers.

Have had that law here for about 6 years now.

We really are blessed to have a climate that makes every house it's own Divan. Few places however to go and smoke in a licensed venue while enjoying a cigar. We adapt. We extend our middle finger in salute.

I'm thank full that I found a bar last night while walking down the street in a neighboring state that I could smoke in . What I'm not thank full for is I can't do that in my state. If it's a cigar bar and you don't like smoke then don't go. Did we have to outlaw them? Seems ridiculous.

i'm thankfull i live in montreal where its practically one of the only cities in canada where we can smoke indoors legally. No matter how bad the ventilation can be in certain lounges, i can still smoke inside.
