bbguardsp Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Ive been pleasantly surprised over the last few years when I find that "forgotten" cigar that all but dissapeared from knowledge in my largest humidor. What are some cigars you have "discovered" throughout your smoking career that have surprised you and made you say "man why didnt i pick more of these up at the time"?
polarbear Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 I lost half a box of Alec Bradley Family Reserve VR1s (NCs) from my first overseas order back in 2009 I found a seam of them a few months back and 6 years has done wonders for the blend. Its richer and more complex than I remember them being while fresh. I can still get them now but I don't really want to have to wait 6 years for them to open up when I could be using that humi space for CC's The last Diplo 5 I had was found mixed in with one of my older PLPC cabs (not sure how it got there) and it made me lament the fact I could've bought boxes of these on discount back when I first started smoking CCs but I was too busy chasing sub par boxes of Monte 5s at the time I really like it when I 'loose' cigars in my humidors, its like a little treasure hunt everytime I go humi diving. That's the main reason I don't keep spread sheets of everything I've got in stock. I like to dig through my fridges and find some lone box I bought years ago and buried

And sure enough, 3 months later, everything I said was wrong. Luckily still riding on over a box! I think those Petit Unicos will see discontinuation soon enough. 1

They are far superior cigars imo.
