Ken Gargett Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 we've had a thread on politicians this morning so this seemed appropriate. https://www.youtube.com/embed/_43f9RzAqMM 2
tmac77 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I woke up from anesthesia before they were done with my last colonoscopy. A very odd experience to say the least.
canadianbeaver Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 After my mom got sick we all went out right away and got colonoscopies. I ended up at a hospital near our house and who should show up at the office to do the job but I guy I knew in high school. This has been happening a lot as we have all grown up and found various careers or whatever. I was asleep during the procedure thank God, but when I woke up, totally disgusting and not exactly lady-like as you can imagine, there he was at my bedside, smiling. He told me all was fine and left me with a piece of paper. The report from the colonoscopy. Aside from the lab results, he had personally signed it at the bottom, "Everything looked great, Lisa! Have a fantastic summer and best wishes to your family!"
Dozerhead Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 The colonoscopy procedure is not too bad. The prep for the procedure, however, is brutal.

beparrish Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 For my first colonoscopy, there I was, lying on my side on the table with my bare ass exposed for all to see, when I heard a womans's voice say "Hey, don't I know you ??". Turns out a former neighbor was the Dr's assistant. Real nice.... LOL But all in all, there is nothing to fear about a colonoscopy. You're out for the entire procedure, and then are REQUIRED to fart your brains out afterwards. The only downside, as other have said, is the prep. The good think, though, is once you've completed the prep, no one can say you're full of crap.
CigarAsh Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Required reading for anyone about to go through this: Dave Barry OK. You turned 50. You know you're supposed to get a colonoscopy. But you haven't. Here are your reasons: 1. You've been busy. 2. You don't have a history of cancer in your family. 3. You haven't noticed any problems. 4. You don't want a doctor to stick a tube 17,000 feet up your butt. http://www.miamiherald.com/living/liv-columns-blogs/dave-barry/article1928847.html Read more here: http://www.miamiherald.com/living/liv-columns-blogs/dave-barry/article1928847.html#storylink=cpy 1
