El Presidente Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Enjoying a Yolanda custom Corona gifted to me yesterday by a mate who returned from the festival. Yolanda really does roll a beautiful cigar. This corona is exquisite being just under medium bodied with rich cream and chocolate characteristics. It just reminds me of how much great Seco brings to the flavour of a cigar. I cant see an ounce of ligero in this corona and it is literally dancing on the palate as it taps out a beautiful array of sweet nuances. Suave, viscous, sexy. The Sade of cigars Brilliant! 3
terrantheman Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I love it! I've had the pleasure to sample one of Yolondas offerings! My mouth is watering from the pic of that beauty!
JohnS Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Judging by the images, it goes to show that what a cigar looks like and what a cigar tastes like can be two totally different things (or you've flipped the cap with your fingernail?). Did it smell like fresh 'barnyard' when you received it, Rob?

Vortigan Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Damn how I'd love to get my hands on just one! Sounds absolutely stunning! *drool
tmac77 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Love Yolanda's customs. I find her pyramides to be the best but all of her vitolas are spot on for my palate. On a somewhat related note Rob ... what's with the 'pretty fish'? You going though a phase?
El Presidente Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 On a somewhat related note Rob ... what's with the 'pretty fish'? You going though a phase? They are Di's fish She has a 4 meter long x 1.5 meter high tank built into her entertainment area. Lovely array of cichlids and other Amazon basin fish. 1
avaldes Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 This thread has it all...tasty custom cigars and tropical fish! I used to have a 150 gal saltwater reef tank. I love aquariums!!

Ryan Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Nice review. I've always liked her cigars. I go for her lonsdale size, well priced and, as you say, milder but very aromatic. 1
joeskow Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 There was a nice little article on Yolanda in Cigar Journal a few years back.. Apparently she started as a teenager rolling for RyJ, and moved on to H. Upmann to become "Head of the Rolling Room" and then on to Partagas.. She was the 1st Cuban female roller to be sent abroad when she visited France.
WarriorPrincess Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Why don't you take a picture of the tank and show them instead of teasing 1
Fuzz Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Very nice of you Di to provide a fishing spot for Rob. Which one tastes better with a beer batter?
tmac77 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Very nice of you Di to provide a fishing spot for Rob. Which one tastes better with a beer batter? They might even make for a unique sushi platter.
WarriorPrincess Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Now now that is my "pet fish" you are talking about Also don't give Rob ideas while I am not there to protect them They are very relaxing to watch at night while sitting on the couch with a glass of wine.... come to think of it anywhere is relaxing with a glass of wine 3

Habana Mike Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I recall discussing with you Rob how much sweetness I detected in the Hamlets we were smoking this past November. Your comments were that Hammie uses a bit more seco in his blends and where you are brings a whole different appreciation for the cigar. Spot on with that. Love the fish too, Di!
WarriorPrincess Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I have Red Devils, one Oscar...the partner died on Tuesday , Silver Dollars and so on and so on. had them all since babies....they even have names
Colt45 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 It just reminds me of how much great Seco brings to the flavour of a cigar. No doubt, and these impress
