ChanceSchmerr Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 I'm shocked that it's actually slightly cheaper than the HK price for Bushido. Damn shame for both prices....
ChanceSchmerr Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 My wife saw me reading Ajay's email and cancelled all my credit cards as a pre-emptive measure. You fool, that's why you read emails from Ajays whilst in a safe place! Like.....the washroom 2
LordAnubis Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 so... a box and a bit of esplendidos at Australian prices then 1
Drguano Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 You fool, that's why you read emails from Ajays whilst in a safe place! Like.....the washroom Nowhere is safe since she acquired the drone...
polarbear Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Ajay already running a sale on them. 573 pounds. That's pretty reasonable, considering
nick2021 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 That's pretty reasonable, consideringAgreed....was surprised to see them offered at a discount at that place
oliverdst Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 That's pretty reasonable, considering "Reasonable" and Limitadas or Regionales don't walk together anymore... 1
polarbear Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 "Reasonable" and Limitadas or Regionales don't walk together anymore... I should say, reasonable for a Limited I honestly thought these would be around 50 quid each
oliverdst Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I should say, reasonable for a Limited I honestly thought these would be around 50 quid each sure, I saw your point. If you consider 675 GBP = 1030 USD = 41 USD/each... close to 50 (if you were talking about USD and not GBP). 1

Yeah, but I wasn't talking about the USD, I was talking about the GBP The price on these was always going to be high thanks the the UK tobacco taxes The fact that these are priced under 50pounds each, for a UK limited release is almost refreshing when you consider they're cheaper than the Cohiba Robusto Supremo and Diplo Bushido
LordAnubis Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Who cares about the price.... if you can't afford to buy a special cigar made for a significant occasion that has been aged for three years already, then don't buy it. It's a fair price in my book. I'll be buying a box... or three. 1

BonVivant Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Those are just another PL Sobresalientes at half price, no? Why is everyone so prissy? Relax, and do not get any?
almudawi Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I don't think that people are pissy. More like shocked 1
ChanceSchmerr Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 To be fair - I'm not SURPRISED at this price. All things considered, it's actually kind of reasonable, given the story of the cigar and of course the track record of HF releases.... It's only a shame that I don't have the money to get the boxes of these that I want. LOL. I'm leaning towards at least picking up one box, particularly if there is a sale price similar to what Ajay's put out. It's the Bushidos that have shocked and angered me. Had no idea they were going to such lengths to make it an unapproachable cigar to folks without loads of disposable income. If that's honestly the way of the RE's going forward (ridiculous packaging to double the price), then it makes the decision easier for me to cut way back. A last point to note - The HF 225 is also a great example of understanding the customers, as they have the fancy schmancy humidor for £4000+....AND they have just the box of the cigars for sale, no frills or anything like that. That way, if you're like me and care only about the cigars inside and not the packaging, we have that option at a much more reasonable price. The Bushidos guys would have done well to follow the H&F lead on their release, IMHO. 3

I'd love a whole box (or two) to myself but the low aussie dollar isn't helping
Lotusguy Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I'm much more shocked by the Bushido price than by these. If I can score a box tax free (like with the Sobresalientes), I will. Otherwise plenty of other stuff to buy 2
oliverdst Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Most of the points above are 180 degrees about what I think. Thankfully none of us are right.

oliverdst Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Congratulations I still don't know if he was kidding.

It's a fair price in my book. I'll be buying a box... or three. Exactly why the LE program has gone through the roof price wise. Blind devotion to a 'special' cigar which in the end is the same rolled up tobacco as others in the line, only aged a few extra years. 1
Rye Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I'd like to try one of these to compare it to the Canadian Gorditos release which now with 5 years age on them, are smoking fantastic. Big price difference between the two 3
wabashcr Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 How much are the Bushidos? I've seen several references to their pricing in this thread, but never did see where anyone had priced them yet. Just curious, ballpark is fine, definitely not on my radar.
