leftimatic Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I will admit my Cuban knowledge is somewhat limited. Most all I own is locked up and aging. But from what I have tried it goes like this. Kind of dating my self but hey we like what we like. Partagas Lusitanias- A 1971 coffee colored Cadillac. Long smooth ride very comfortable gliding down the highway smooth as silk. Roomy with a seat that just pulls you in. A real pleasure to be behind the wheel with nary a care as you cruise down a rolling country road on a sunny day. Punch Punch- Mid 90's burgundy Jaguar with tan leather interior and wood grain dashboard. A luxury sedan with the power to put you where you want to be. Your friends will be impressed when you pull up in this one. Wont want the ride to end, but when it does there will be a smile on your face. Bolivar Petit corona- A red 1976 Porsche. A nice exciting little power plant with seamless shifting through all the gears. One surprise after another. Hugging the curves and sucking you into the seat. Santana's soul sacrifice blasting on the Blaupunkt. Romeo y Julieta Regalia de Londres- 1974 Vega. Always breaking down and leaving you stranded. Has potential but too unreliable. Now for an NC Quorum corona- 1992 Volvo 240DL. Economical yet reliable. A nice cheap way to get around town. Roomy and somewhat tasteful in a conservative sort of way. Don't want to put it in the ditch, but if you do at least you will survive the crash and not get to uptight about it. Anyone have more to add? 4
polarbear Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Cohiba Esplindido- Red Lamborghini Diablo What people think of when they think High End. Often more trouble than they're worth requiring much time and patience in order to see reach full potential. Not recommended for beginners or the novice as can often be difficult to enjoy if uninitiated 2
cigcars Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 *In 1997 I authored a book of that very subject, called it, "CigCars" c.1997 and doing just what you guys are - comparing various car models to premium cigars. It never got published, per se, and probably just as well. In those years (now that I look back) I know I ended up with some El Falsos for Habanos, and therefore couldn't have given a fair comparison. Maybe some time - some day I'll bring it out of obscurity for some update(s). 4
Borgy Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I guess all I can add to this with my ride it looks good a bit ruff on the inside burns super quick smells like burnt rubber when you open it up costs a lot and your left wondering at the cost any one know what I'm comparing my ride to.

maxcjs0101 Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I'll say this again but man, those Quorum Coronas are wonderful especially after a period of dryboxing.
bolivr Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Cool idea and I get the comparisons. I'll have a try - Bolivar Gold Medal, 10 year old Alfa Romeo. A rare choice that appeals to only a few as most cannot be bothered with it. When going right though, a cracking smoke/ride.
