Thoughts with the passengers and crew and associated families flew air Asia to bali recently not a bad airline no thrills type of arrangement as are most "Budget" airlines

I can't believe this.. i have taken probably over a hundred flights with AirAsia over the years for work and otherwise...

I hope everyone is okay... this has been a horrible year.

Just saw it on the news today....feel really bad for this, especially this time of the year. Thoughts and prayers to the families as I can't imagine what they're going through.

Air Asia X I think is a pretty decent operator as so far as its ops ex Australia. Indonesian Air Asia is a separate subsidiary based in Jakarta AFAIK. Separate company that's part of a franchise; ala Jetstar and its derivatives (Jetstar Asia, Japan, Pacific, Vietnam etc).

Still sucks to lose another one in the same part of the world. RIP.

I agree with Dux, this airline has a good record.

The website below is a good one for following updates with non sensationalised reporting.

Hopefully they'll find something today.

It's a bit eery when your own airline often flies in the same region or along the same routes as one that goes down.
