"Tell him he's dreaming!"pooped.gif

1: Not going to happen at his age and shape. I like Denzel but he's no longer in his prime, especially to play a role like Bond. I think after Daniel Craig, everyone expects to see someone slighty rugged and hard. This will now be the norm compared to a guy of Pierce Brosnans stature or a Lazenby.

2: Denzel isn't British.

3: He thinks he can play the Equaliser and now he has a shot at 007? pod.gif

4: Seriously, WTF!? (This should be at the top of the list)

I'd be more interested if Denzel was cast as the next bond VILLIAN

I love bad guy Denzel

I'd be ok with that!

Along with:

(other actors I'd like to see play Bond Villians)

1)Clive Owen

2)Michael Fassbender

3)Vigo Mortensen

4)Jeremy Irons

5)Anthony Hopkins

I actually think Leo DiCaprio could make a pretty good Bond Villian.

Yeah - Leo would make a fantastic Bond villain!!

Oh man, can you imagine Anthony Hopkins' version of Blofelt? That would be awesome!

You had me until you said Leo. Lemme guess, Bond has to stop him before he becomes 'King of the world'?? I don't see it. Viggo or Irons would definitely be great.

I could Imagine Vigo Mortensen in a bond film

Anyone else mentioned, prob not

Nothing to do with their ability to play villains, its just that the bond films tend to steer clear of big name stars in its films

I cant think of a single "Mega Star" that has ever been in a bond film

I could be wrong though, its been a while since I've seen some of the Rodger Moore era films

Edit- Does Christopher Walken count as a "Big Name" star?

Amazing how hard it is for people to joke these days without humorless morons taking everything so seriously...

Do explain. The floor is yours for now....

I would say Walken, Mads and Javier do count as big stars.

Hahah Walken would be a classic

"Well ya know Mr Bond....there is.... NO... escape from my wrath" biggrin.png

Mads Mikkelson was a most brilliant choice in Casino Royale and IMO one brilliant actor.

I agree, Mads is a fantastic actor!

Walken was the Villian Max Zorin, in "A View to a Kill"

Speaking of Villians, Richard Kiel, who played Jaws, died yesterday.

That's pretty much how he played it too...

People need to think outside the box. I think it would be interesting to see Washington play a suave role like Bond. That being said, Daniel Craig is perfect as Bond for the meantime, so I say...let that ride itself out.
