Pilsner14 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Just made my way through a box of Parti shorts box code early 2013 that was purchased through a LFTH. Hands down the most consistent box of cigars I have had. They have blown me away with construction, flavour, and richness from one cigar to the other. I can understand the other members affinity to these little flavour bombs. Unreal example of what our hosts can provide and will be a staple now for me in my rotation. Thank you FOH. JD
tjohn7 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Good to hear! I've been meaning to try them out. How long did each stick take to smoke? Tom
ogus Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 20-40 minutes. Yes these are some of the most reliable, consistent, satisfying, values in cigars.
Cohiba Stevie Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 One of the absolute staples in my humidor.
leftimatic Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Oh great, my credit card was just cooling down. Time to fire it up again.
tjohn7 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Oh great, my credit card was just cooling down. Time to fire it up again. Haha. Story of my life.
stogieluver Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Great little 45 minute smokes. A staple in my humidor.
earthson Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 20-40 minutes. Yes these are some of the most reliable, consistent, satisfying, values in cigars. Wow! That is some power toking! I usually drag at least 45-60 minutes out of a cuban minuto. Some of the better rolls can go over an hour!
westg Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Yep....I just purchased a hundred and fifty of them 3 cabs before the Aussie 12.5% price increase...I reckon that's about a years stock.I just love them. 2
dowjr1 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Just tried my first one and it was a total meh. I feel let down after hearing everyone gush about them. 1
subport Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 20-40 minutes. Yes these are some of the most reliable, consistent, satisfying, values in cigars. To be honest I think who smoke a Partagas Shorts (or any minutos) in 20 minutes is an idiot inpatient person. I would suggest to slow down and enjoy your cigar and try to get more out of it. It takes 50-65 minutes to me normally but can definitely be smoked in 40 mins on a hurry. 2 dress boxes and 2 cabs I have and still feel the urge to buy more. Love them to death. And yes, they are consistent little crackers.
Habana Mike Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Great little stick, very consistent across the years. Quick calculation, 3-4 cabs a year I figure I've smoked at least a couple thousand in my career.
DWC Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Just tried my first one and it was a total meh. I feel let down after hearing everyone gush about them. I smoke shorts often and I like them good enough, but there is a handful of PC's & minutos I'd take over the shorts any day.
dvickery Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 if ever any cigar earned the title "ubiquitous" ... it would be the party short . has taken me 15 years of serious buying(and smoking) to get to the point where i can smoke 10 year old shorts ... making them (in my stash) difficult to age . derrek 2

Yep. Had a friend over the other night. An inexperienced cigar smoker. Gave him a Monte2, and he blew throught that cigar in about 45 minutes. I just wanted to throw up. The waste of a good cigar. I keep some inexpensive NC's on hand for such. I should have given him one of those. He would have not known the difference.
MrGTO Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 i dont have a bunch of time with two kids under 2 to sit for 1hr or more to smoke. I always reach for party shorts for a good CC smoke with a smalll window of time. They are always consistent! I am trying to buy some good stock from the 12:12 or LFTH to age so i can have some good smokes in a few years.
nikesupremedunk Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I'm down to half a box on my second box of these. I feel like my palate changed slightly and I don't enjoy these as much as I used to, I still love the consistency and the power it delivers in a small package.

Or the cigar is getting older, aged and you've preferred them younger with the sharp edges? Could be. Not your palate but the cigar itself.
Guest gerlinan Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I love the Parti Shorts as well. When I don't have time to enjoy a longer smoke I always grab one. They always have a place in my humidor. Gentleman, you may smoke
amosnaim Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 They are indeed great cigars. I like them the most out of the small cigars, but usually I prefer to smoke a bit bigger.
kittipong Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 The 2007 PCC vintage from our host is really fabulous smoke. 2
Scdalak Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Just finished a 2010 in 30 min with an iced coffee, fantastic. Rarely disappoint!
mikek Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Well I guess I need to spring for A box of these.I'm so hooked on RASSCC for A short smoke I always reach for them, guess I'll try the Party Shorts after reading all that was written here.
Pilsner14 Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 You know the smoking time on my box was a solid 50-60 minutes. Rolled perfect with a slightly muted pull but lots of smoke and burned even a slow. The monte 2 from 2009 I smoked last nite was like fuse it burned so quick. JD
