I have a 13 or 14 box( ill look @ date code when I get home) and they have a really tight draw. Just checking with you guys to see if anybody has had the same experience. The flavor profile was wonderful, creamy to my palate, but I had to work to get it to smoke... I finally gave up on it....

Wondering if anyone else has had that problem, because I'm on the fence about getting a box. Only thing from JL that I've had is Seleccion No. 2 - liked it but didn't feel like I loved it as much as a lot of other people have told me they have. Can I just expect the same from the PC?

In all fairness, JL just doesn't appeal to me, though I will say the #2 is much better than the PC.

I have a BRS JUL 13 box I received from our host. Wonderful JL flavors that are more like the #1 (which I prefer over the #2). Only a couple so far have had a tighter draw, but never did it feel like a chore, nor did it diminish smoke output. All the rest have been spot on. Such a refreshing smoke in the summertime. Zesty citrus for days.

I have a box of #2's that I haven't cracked yet. I'll give them a go this weekend.

Hopefully I just picked a dud and the rest will smoke great. I just wanted to know if this was the norm for the JLPC rott. If the next one is tight, I will just bury them in the coolidor and check back in a year. I'm just looking for a good young PC to smoke fresh besides my Party Shorts. PC's are perfect time wize for my schedule.

JLPC ABR - ABR '12 box smoked fine. Only 1 tight so far out of about 15 and unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) it was gifted to a friend that wanted to try one. So he never got to see what they're really like.

I like 'em. I ordered another box when I noticed I was getting low. I'll probably keep these in my regular rotation.

Why don't you try some Bolivar PC, RASCC, or el principe.

I smoked another one and it smoked better, not the best , but the draw was way better. I will check back on them in about 3 months and see how they are doing.

Seems like I did pick a dud for my first one...

Box code is BRS JUL 13

Construction of JL PC is a concern. Flavour is not. Yet a poorly constructed cigar ..even with whisps of great flavour is a pain in the arse.

Dry box or use the freezer trick after cutting the cap. Should work wonders on 50/50 examples.

The best RJ I smoked young was A box of ten Wide Churchils, dont remember the box code they were from 2013,they were so good I went through the box in about three months! I'll look around in my storage and see if I can find the code. The wrappers were extremly delicate.

You cant beat the RASSCC for A small fresh smoke!

That's the problem with most goods nowadays: you must purchase them prior to be able to consume them… :innocent:

Strange how that works

I'm half way through a BRS Sept 13 box and they've all been fantastic. Agree with dry boxing them a few days though, they don't offer what they should if the moisture content is high.

I've had them @ 65rh & a constant 68F so I wouldn't think moisture is a issue, but I'll let a few set out and see. Give a me a reason to smoke more :)
