Maplepie Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Bonne Fete Nationale du 14 Juillet, mes amis Francais!! Reasons i love international forums is so i can finally celebrate things like these with my international friends and BotLs! (also because the Europeans keep me entertained at 2 or 3 am) If we can get a decent feedback on July the 1st and July the 4th, i don't see why not on July the 14th!! Alors, amusez-vous bien sur cette jour nationale. Et votre jour ferie!! 1
El Presidente Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Happy Bastille Day Indeed. I have a close affinity with France. The first time I fell in love was with my French Teacher in grade 8. She was dead set gorgeous. However being dead set gorgeous, French accent and in an all boys school, she lasted a year before resigning. The "Dragon from Dégagnac" took her place and I dropped French in year 10. My first girlfriend was a lovely lass from Toulouse (year 12 exchange student at a sistering school) called Dominique. One of those lasses where her future was all in front of her . Didn't end well. The school mantra of "mates before maidens" she could not understand. Still we enjoyed a lovely Bastille day in 1982 on the banks of Enoggera creek under a gum tree enjoying "Mateus Rose I was at the top of my game thinking it was French. Back then....I thought anything that didn't come out of a can or cask was French
Maplepie Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 I thought anything that didn't come out of a can or cask was French i still do... or those wine boxes with bendy straws... Anyway! nice sharing with us, Bobbert!! can't wait to hear about your 'maidens' come August 1st
Habana Mike Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Bastille Day has a special place in my heart. Not only is it our anniversary, J'aime le pays, la cuisine, les gens et le vin de France! Vive La Revolution!
CaptainQuintero Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Vive!! To the only country left in the World where the government is still afraid of the people. Culture, history and passion protected by the people still from the tiny villages to the highest cities. Thank you to our French friends, enjoy your day! 3
