Any methods our there to unplugging a cigar?

Ok here's how you do it.

Wet the cigar. Seriously, dont be a soft cock, run the cigar under a tap if you want, make sure the wrapper is nice and wet. It should almost feel sticky. Find the end of the leaf on the head side and start peeling it.

Then wet the binder as well. And find the end of it. The end is hard to find on this, but take your time and find it and peel it off.

Its a long mother.

Carefully peel apart the layers of leaf.

Then use one big leaf piece as the "base" and bunch all the others on it, try putting the darker leaf in the middle of the bunch.

Roll as tight as you can, then start wrapping the binder over it. Here is where a wet binder helps. If its dry it will start cracking, i told you to wet the bastard.

Rolled.

Then put the wrapper back on. You seriosuly need to wet this thing now. I put a hand full of water on the table and let the wrapper sit in it. Better too wet than too dry. Take note of how it's rolled. Veins should run lengthways down the cigar, so align the vein, and start rolling. Dont put to much presure on the wrapper roll too, the wrapper is thin.

The end

And a bit of a snip of the head you will smoke, and the draw should be pretty loose actually, and now sporting a shaggy foot. If you have the guar glue you can glue the wrapper and binders on, if not just hold it all together with a band and some tape if you need. Just make sure the end of the wrapper wont unbind itself.

Let it dry box for a week or two or two days or however long you want and then smoke.

May try to do a few at once to see if I can't improve my technique. I've won a couple of rolling contests but those only required the wrapper - binder and filler already in place.

We have a bamboo sushi roller, wonder if that might help to get a tighter bunch. Maybe even leave the bundle inside with a couple rubber bands overnight - almost like a mold

Try making yourself a cigar press like I did here, makes a big difference. Its what I used to do a few years ago, it requires a bit of patience.

Have you tried dry boxing for 3-5 days?

The most common cause of plugged cigars is over humidification followed by improper roll

I either roll them slightly bigger giving a better draw or take some of the filler out and roll them the same size (also improving the draw). sometimes i have to sacrifice some length depending on how much binder and wrapper I have to work with.

Wet the cigar. I mean really wet the wrapper. Peel off wrapper. Peel off binder. Re roll cigar. Dry for a month or so. Smoke.

I'm thinking dry the filler for an hour but keep the binder moist until you roll it again. Then let it dry for a couple hours and roll the wrapper on...smoke in a day or two...I should've tried this the other day with a 898 but I had already lit it, cut it a couple times, very wet!

I don't think you need a mold for this and it really doesn't take that long

Sometimes a few weeks later, sometimes a few years. Sometimes never......
