GodofFire Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Have not seen much information about the smaller RYJ'S. Who is smoking them and how are they right out of the box to smoke. Thanks Mike

Thanks! Taste is subjective.I do not care for any of the cedar wrapped. Haven't seen EX3 available in years and wonder if they are discontinued? Mille fleurs is in my weekly rotation Petit church meh No 2 & 3 are good, but would smoke the mf over both of them. Mike 1

Mike This has been my experience as well I believe the RyJ EX3's have been disco'd a year or two ago
Habana Mike Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 This has been my experience as well I believe the RyJ EX3's have been disco'd a year or two ago Not sure the Ex3's have been chopped but availability does seem quite limited. Worth the coin (~10USD/per) if you can find them? Considering Mille Fleurs per your suggestion. Definitely priced right.....
kwsaw63 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 The Mille Fleurs are also in my regular rotation (pretty decent for the coin). Haven't tried any of the cedros line and limited experience with the No.2 & 3 (but the little experience I had wasn't enjoyable).
kwsaw63 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Still have a soft spot for the R&J EX 3 . What are they like Rob? I'm a big fan of the EX 4 and have always wondered how the EX 3 compared.
garbandz Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 mille fleur is a staple, always good for me. probably the cigar I have the most of. liked the cedros, and regalia de londres are tasty from a 2010 box I have.........fuller than I expected. tried the Exib.4 several times(2009 to 2011),not spot on .Better now? Short Churchills are hit or miss for me. Tubos seem to be the best bet. Petit Churchill have not tried, seems like a useless size for the $$$
Smiley Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Short Churchills - As many has said before, they can be hit or miss. Correct me if I'm wrong, but these are what I would call "red" ones and "green" ones? Two boxes with the same box code and date but with two completely different cigars. WTF! It will be interesting to taste the difference, if any..

It will be interesting to taste the difference, if any.. That is truly strange to see. They do box then together bad on color. But those colors are not even close to each other. When you smoke 1 of reach would be nice if you reported your thoughts back on this posting. I would really like heart it. Everything I have heard and read stayed that you want the red color sticks. They supposedly have the best flavor. Thanks for those pictures
Smallclub Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Two boxes with the same box code and date but with two completely different cigars. WTF! What's surprising? For each box code there are great, good and bad cigars, as well as dark, colorado and claro (and everything in between) wrappers…
Habana Mike Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 This has been my experience as well I believe the RyJ EX3's have been disco'd a year or two ago Just picked up a great looking box with a 2013 box code so still being produced.
cigarbreak Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Tried the Ex3, MF, and No3 and of those i'd pick Ex 3 for sure. MF would be a very close second but I do feel that it was a little too smooth for my liking. Great cigars for coffee in the morning before breakfast.
ShortFatHokie Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I've had a handful of Romeo No. 2's in my humidor for a couple of years and finally smoked one within the last couple of weeks. It was OK, nothing to brag about, mostly muted nutty/woody flavors. Honestly, I probably won't buy anymore of them, likely to spend my dough on something else.
Wil Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I quite like the PCs, although there are better PCs for the money (e.g. Bolivar, Raf Gonz)
