I would be curious in regards to this myself. I have a box but haven't gotten around to trying one. The fact that you can still find vendors with these in stocks doesn't make me think the answer will be yes.

The Partagas LE in 2010 was the Serie D Especial (50x141). There's no D4 LE.

Close enough...

Not close enough actually. These are not meant to be a D4 and are furthest from a D4. I smoke 1 on my daughters bday each year and this year, just this last Sunday, I smoked another one. If I didn't know they were a Partagas, I would never guess it from the flavors.

Korean Cowboy... Interesting. I'm almost curious enough to smoke one now. The last partagas EL I smoked was the 2012 and I thought it did have a Partagas profile of sorts.

Ha.. No Logan. Not close at all. I have a box of these.. Haven't touched them in awhile. The most uninteresting box I own. Much different than a D4 I would presume..

I just don't see anything special in it. I mean not at all. I adore shorts, psd4,lusitanias and much more even get along with mille fleurs. The serie D especial is one of the most boring cigar ever smoked. I only have 8 sticks remaining from the last box (had 3boxes) but ready to trade them anytime

The first one I smoked when it was just released was unimpressive, after a disappointing second one I stopped opening the box all together and concentrated on the Monty EL 2010 which was far nicer.

A couple of months ago I decided to try another one and was blown away by it! They've really picked up steam. Whereas the Montecristo Grand Edmundo seems to be in a dip.

So to answer your question, not worth the increased cost if you like the D4 and expect something similar, but for those who already own some give them another shot!
