Hello fellas

My name is Ian. I am Irish however living is Barcelona, Spain (Catalunya to be politicially correct), for the last 13 years.

Smoking Cubans for the last 7 years and can't get enough of them.Have been following the vids of Rob and Ken for a good while now and find them very refreshing! You guys are doing a great job!

Great now to be part of a forum of like minded people who share a passion for smoking stogies.

Happy smoking guys!

Welcome Ian.

Barcelona and Cuban cigars go well together for me as this was the first city I really got into them while working there.

I had an apartment overlooking the beach in Barcelonetta and I would sit on my windowsill overlooking the sand & girls, trying as many smokes as I could take each day.

Was in heaven.

Just as your adopted city was a good place for me, you have found a good spot here.

Hello, Welcome to FoH.

Where in Ireland do you come from?

Thanks! I am from a small village called Malahide on the North coast of Dublin. Great town. Historical....castle, beaches, cricket, rugby and most importantly what I will always call 'my local'. A place where as soon as I walk in a pint of Guinness is waiting for me!!

I know Malahide well, I'm in Dublin myself.

Hi Ryan. Knowing you are in Dublin, are there any smoking clubs/lounges that one could drop into while back home for a quick visit? I'm know James Fox, Dublin occasionally runs cigar/whiskey tasting events, but not aware of any smoking lounges back there in Dublin.

Cheers! Ian.

Hey Ian. Sorry for the delay getting back. No smoking lounges here at all I'm afraid.

Unlike the UK, cigar shops here did not get a derogation for sampling cigars in a shop, so no indoor public smoking anywhere.

There are some good venues with covered outdoor smoking in Dublin though, mostly pubs.

Here's a list. I know 1 and 4 well and can recommend them.

Are you back in early June? Come to the event on June 7 in Toners. There'll be a few other FoH members there including me. If you need the details let me know and I can pm you.

Hi Ryan, thanks for the info! Would love to get home for the June event but will be on business in Scandanavia. I will be home in August for a week so will keep an eye on events unfolding with James Fox, Dublin, if any. Thanks again and apologies for delay in answering. Cheers! Ian

Hey Ian, not to threadjack or bump an old post, but I'm headed to Barcelona for a long wknd soon, first trip to Spain, and I'm really looking forward to a few days of delicious smokes on the beach. Any insider tips about good shops to pick up some sticks from? Or, alternatively, any to avoid?
