There is a great cigar lounge in the North End (Italian section of Boston) on Hanover St. It's called Stanza Dei Sigari. A few good Italian restaurants there too.

Yep thanks, any more suggestions are welcome

Not big fan of stanza in the north end. Small. Stinky. Dirty.

Try Koullshi in Charlestown. Really nice, great smoke management. Humidor is just okay, and scotch list is mediocre, but certainly serviceable. Best cigar bar around, especially since cigar masters closed.

For food, it really depends on your budget and preferred scene. I eat/drink out a lot. So let me know your situation.

Family owned quality preferred. I will be around 128/90 driving through burbs maybe in town a couple times.

I have broad leeway. fish/chips or pizza to faux polynesian or upscale Italian

Not sure how far you'll be from Worcester but Michael's Cigar Bar is spacious, clean, and has a great restaurant next door that delivers. It's the best lounge I've been to in Massachusetts.

I've been to Stanzi and Koullshi, both before and after they built the downstairs. Either works for me, definitely different atmospheres.

Victory in Sudbury's a nice little place too.

Cigar Masters never really did it for me - no Scotch.....

+ 1 for victory in sudbury. probably about 25 min drive from intersection of 128/90. are you at the newton marriot?

Waltham is a good restaurant town not far from you. Just a few exits north on 128/95. Check out:

* Upscsle italian at Il capriccio is fantastic. Rivals any downtown spot, and is a favorite of a few of the local celebrity chefs. Campagna is also excellent legit italian, but pretty spendy. For americsnized italian, (meatballs and garlic bread) try the chateau. Cheap family restaurant.

* Legit irish pub at the skellig, best guinness pour in the burbs, and good irish pub fare.

* Great pizza at charcoal ******. Good bar, great for a few beers and some good pie. All the dough is homeade and cooked in a charcoal fired oven.

In newton try cook in newtonville for a good brunch, and good mixed menu. High quality and approachable. Also, blue ribbbon bbq is pretty good. As good a bbq you'll get in boston.

In town, stay away from faneuil hall and hanover street. Too touristy. Fun to walk, but nothing worth eating (excepts mikes pastry) if you go to the north end, try limoncello. Great food, and fair, non tourist pricing. Its also across the street from paul reveres house, which is really cool.

Check out scampo at the liberty hotel. Very good italian. Legit.

Cambridge has a ton of great spots. In harvard, try russel house tavern (not a tavern at all), or harvest for excellent foodie fare.

South end has a great burger at gallows, good pizza at pico, and usually good live music at beehive. Foods okay there.

By the garden, good spots before and after the game are porters, the fours, and sully's tap. Porters is probably the best for a teen son. Good standard burger.

Lots of sushi, if youre into that. Douzo downtown, new ginza in newton which is fairly priced and very high quality.

The restaurant at the newton marriot is pretty good. My wife and i meet there now and then when its convenient. Also, nearby is bocx 109. Upscale steak place. pricey but pretty good.

If youre going to a specific hood, let me know and ill guide if you like. Welcome to boston.

I am from Newton haven't been back in a few years, be glad to meet up with you.

Visiting family in Framingfish

I like Waltham for Indian

I may hit Brookline mostly if heading east

Would like to catch the Bruins game if it happens Saturday. If we can have a stick esp Habanos that would be ideal.

Other nights will be free too.

I was in Boston a few weeks back, and an old friend of mine came and took me out of town, to Two Guys Smoke Shop up in Nashua, NH. This place was impressive, even for a Die Hard Cuban cigar man! They had a HUGE selection, Padrons galore, Liga Privada, etc, etc. Prices are very good, no tax. Bit of a trek, but worth it.

Keith.
