While cleaning out my late father's office over the weekend I discovered this box of what looks like authentic Habanos - machine made Super Partagas. There were no cigars and I doubt if there ever were since my father didn't smoke, but I was wondering if anyone can date this for me? It would be sentimental.

I'm not familiar with the Colorado stamp and my searching on cubancigarwebsite didn't yield results.

cheers!

Given the stamps and labels best I can guess is somewhere between 1962 and 1985

Knowing the length of the 'Hecho en cuba' stamp might narrow it down a bit more, 66mm, 67mm, 68mm, 58mm?

Thank you, incredible I was living in that house at that time and never saw it. The box is pristine, including the cover page, I might transplant some of my other stock in there.

What does Colorado mean?

In the old days they declared - using these stamps - the wrapper colour

from claro to colorado claro to colorado, colorado maduro, maduro and oscuro.

Congrats, that is a nice vintage box -

Cheers, Alex

Would the actual serial # on the warrantee seal yield an accurate date?

Thank you for all the replies. If we go by that stamp, I think it's the 74 to 78 box, although my calipers say it is 69.5mm wide. I don't see any way to use that seal code so far.

Pretty awesome, shame it's empty though if it was sitting out dry for several years...........

If you look in the photo gallery you will see an old box of Partagas Royals that I posted. You will notice that they have similar markings. My box is from early 80s.

Still waiting for that review from Guy :)

1980's to me. The box looks well kept, and the tobacco should be good. I have some Cabanas from that era, awesome tobacco and not bad for a machine made cigar.

Except it is an empty box, as he stated... ;)
