Coolio Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 They're great photos! I have bad memories of trying to take a photo from a Cessna 172 once. Opened the window on the instructors side, stuck my camera out first, then for some reason my head. I wasn't wearing headphones, and could only watch as my Ray Ban Aviators with shiny gold metal frames (oh yes, did I mention i was a tool back then?) swirled in the slipstream behind the plane and head down to a soft landing in a cow paddock. Funny thing was, after we landed i found BOTH lenses behind us in the cabin. As they flew off, they must have hit the door frame and popped out.
Coolio Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 These aren't amazing photo's, but i was flying when I took them! Wivenhoe dam here in Brisbane, 6 months after the huge floods in 2011. Wivenhoe dam got up to around 160% capacity briefly following the deluge, and you can see the high water line where all the logs are lying. A filled in ground pool, in the Gold Coast hinterland. No house, just a pool, with table and chairs! Here's one for Ken! And finally one of the Gold Coast, flying North at 1000'. 1
