Going through my stock yesterday on the Por larranaga Encantos Regional and noticed the boxes are numbered 3900- 3975. Total of 4000 boxes were produced.

Just a heads up that they may not be around too much longer.

What's the story on the un-numbered last 25 boxes? Museum/display cabinet pieces for the distributors?

I took it to mean Rob has boxes 3900 to 3975 (boxes 3976 to 4000 are elswhere).

Only took four years. Too bad, wish they would come in as regular production. These were/are very nice and at around $10/stick, priced well for a RE. Nice presentation too.

Interested to hear how are they smoking these days?

Getting there, but still need a little more snooze time.

Agree. Even my noob CC palate can tell that these haven't peaked yet. I've been putting off buying a box because they seem so plentiful, but I might have to now.

Bought box 226 from Rob and the cigars are worth it, they should be in every cigar collection.

I love all PL RE from PCC

X2....actually, I love most RE from Asia Pacific.

Does the way the numbers come out there really show how many are left?

I have ordered many local ER's and was worried when my last boxes of Gordies came very near the end, then my friend ordered a few and they had very early numbers from the series. Same source, no re-release.

This is something I've often wondered, and I've assumed that there was no rhyme nor reason to how boxes get released.

Agreed.

I can only go on what I have seen. Last batches were in the high 2000's low 3000's. This batch in the high 3000's. With the Encantos it has been pretty steady.

Rye, I could see that there are RG Petit Piramides Alemania in the following order:

2379 - NOV 13

3375 - NOV 13

4114 - DIC 13

4644 - DIC 13

So I guess at least during the production the numerical order is respected.

I have a box of Bolivar Redentores RE Brasil that I bought right after the release and its number is 0038 or something like that.

Boxes 97,98,99 and 237 of the RG Petit Piramides have Sep 13 BD. The 5xx box I had was Oct. 13. Saw 1xxx with Nov 13 BD.

Not necessarily. I've seen Encantos boxes run into 2011, and I haven't heard of any rerelease.

Could be just them not getting done on time.

Have two boxes of the encantos. Just had one arrived today they were dark and oily. Only smoked a few from a 5ver I got and they were plugged so couldn't get a great handle on the cigar. Love all the PL RE's I have tried so far. Probably need to find a few more boxes.

Perhaps, but it's usually good to keep in mind that box date refers to date of boxing, not date of rolling.

I am not sure if Tabacuba fills boxes consecutively, or just grabs an empty box, whatever the number, and sends it out.
