Would like to know what your thoughts are on them

For an RE there price is hard to beat and I have a thing for RE/LE

They are awesome. At the rate people in Germany (including me) are buying boxes, the 6k will be gone rather quickly.

I didn't realize these were flying off the shelves like this! I recant my previous statement.

Hard to beat? They are pricier than most REs of a similar size, pricier than several RE robustos, even pricier than the Encantos which are much longer...

And in a marca that is traditionaly one of the less expensive of the premium habanos...

VG construction as found in most German REs. Light cigar but if you like RG it's very good. A bit steep for the vitola and i'm not a huge fan of RG so have stayed away but all in all a good cigar

Compared to all the new RE/LE they are some of the cheaper ones

I got the first 10 boxes that were available in Cologne. Nino got a few as well. We really liked the cigar.

Had to buy some vintage Bolivar and Partagas Lonsdales last tuesday but will buy another 10 boxes the next time I am in Cologne

I wast told that they sell like crazy.

Just had my first one,

it was GORGEOUS!

Will have to post a review soon,

but in short: everything you would look for in a Gonzalez:

Cream, toasted hazelnut/almond, honey with floral overtones, mild coffee, dark chocolate

PLUS: a very seductive dried apricot/orange marmalade aspect, wonderful!

First 2 thirds about 92/93, last third 88/89, a bit young with charred wood and a bit of tar in the taste

but still with a sweet edge to the smell.

Hugely enjoyable!

Cheers, Alex

just smoke One this afternoon and i must admit they are really good and I normally not a big fan of the German regionals. Took the chance to smoke one with a really dark and oily wrapper. Yummy yumy.

No wonder that they are flying out the shelves. Just can write/say get them while you can.

@ alex - would be great if you write a tasting !

Never been a RG fan but these are very tasty. Have been ordering a few boxes every two weeks or so. Definitely worth grabbing a few boxes IMO.
