No. You don't just go out and do it. It's more of a club sport. Takes a bit of balance and skill to do. Not like bowling which is fun to do with a bunch of beers! Wouldn't want to be on ice throwing a 30lb stone buzzed!!

I remember when we used to curl at the Madden, Ab. curling rink that only had 2 sheets, with an ashtray and cooler at each end. I think sweeping started mostly to clear the ice of ash and spilt beer. I've witnessed many drunken face plants into the ice resulting in more blood shed than any minor league hockey game. Good times!
