It was a "closed" auction. You didn't know how good was your bid until the end of it when, as far I can remember, someone contact you and the winner bid was posted.

If you are asking aboutkind of e-bay or live auction, I don't know. I've been here for no more than 2 years.

A silent auction is fine. Possible low reserve public, and everyone could see all bids.

I would love to see some special CC up for grabs.

it was a completely blind auction. You email/PM a price for a particular box or boxes, and if you were the highest, you got the special email. If you weren't, you got bubkiss.

From memory, Rob got over 200 emails/PM's to sort through for aged 10 boxes.

Depends on whether people wait to see if they got the box or just email her anyways. Either way, it would definitely be an avalanche of emails.
