El Presidente Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Watching this now. I don't care how much the commentators talk it up, it has all the passion of kissing your sister. Apologies to Appalachian and Kiwi members
Laxman Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I am a die hard football fan and have not watched the Pro Bowl since I can last remember. Actually did not realize it was even on till I saw your post.
shlomo Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 worst of the 4 major north amrrican all star games. by a million yards....
Skyfall Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I have several clients playing in it (and supposed to be playing in it), and I still want to punch myself and watch paint dry!
Ken Gargett Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Watching this now. I don't care how much the commentators talk it up, it has all the passion of kissing your sister. Apologies to Appalachian and Kiwi members blame yourself. if people don't watch it, this nonsense would not exist. afc v nfc had the vaguest relevance. this idiocy does not. and if i owned or coached a team, i would be strongly encouraging any of my players selected, not to go near it. it is, theoretically, the best players in the game, bar those in the superbowl, so how do owners, coaches, fans feel if brees or luck or trent williams or newton or morris or any of them do a knee and miss a year? for what?
hounser Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I am a die hard football fan and have not watched the Pro Bowl since I can last remember. Actually did not realize it was even on till I saw your post. Likewise, earlier tonight my wife looked at me totally surprised "You know there's football on right?" Yep, There are a bunch of football players on TV, I'm not sure what it is they are playing though.
stillinger Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 You and the other 7-8 million people in the US who will watch it. Bleh. Rather watch WNBA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bclass1 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 You and the other 7-8 million people in the US who will watch it. Bleh. Rather watch WNBA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Lol.. That was great
stillinger Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Do they even televise WNBA? In the states, yeah. Espn has a deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
anacostiakat Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Total waste of time. They aught to have some way of rewarding the outstanding players for the year but the game is useless.
sk00ts Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I did think it was 10x better than last year but the risk of going down with an injury is too great compared to the NBA, MLB and even the NHL all star games. I would rather see the player skills comp and an old timer game of flag football
Brickhouse Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I didn't even know it was on.....and that's sad.
GnarlyEggs Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I didn't watch it for fear of the same old.. Watching highlights it did seem much better than the last year years. TJ Ward hitting Gordon was entertaining!
stillinger Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 So that many people really watch it? 7-8 million is short. Last year, one of the lowest ever had 12.5 watch it in the US.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
hounser Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I would rather see the player skills comp and an old timer game of flag football I always enjoy watching the old skills competitions, the QB challenges, I even remember when they did the kicker HORSE game. I honestly like that better then the game itself, I don't even think they do that anymore, do they?
LLC Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 The only all star game worth watching is baseball.
stillinger Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 The only all star game worth watching is baseball. While I don't watch a ton of the NBA, I enjoy it a bit. Guys at least give it a go. Hockey's skill competition used to entertaining. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
DrunkenMonkey Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 The only all star game worth watching is baseball. MLB All-Star game is a beautiful tradition, done right. Although free agency has diminished it a bit. But it's always fun to watch. The football one was never a good idea. It used to be slightly less stupid when it was held after the Super Bowl, because it was the last gasp of any football at all until next August. Now they hold it while we're getting worked up for the Super Bowl, and the players from the two most successful teams are eliminated? I wonder if there's anything they could do to make me care less about it... Maybe they could have Chris Collinsworth call the game by himself.
