Wil Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Saw this posted on another forum and thought I'd share it here... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/cigar-smoking-enjoys-a-revival-in-uk-9049934.html
CaptainQuintero Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 It's starting to spread out from the mentioned usual pinstriped stereotype dispite Hunters bumbling efforts. It's very shaky outside London but a light at the end of the tunnel possibly. The number of pubs with dedicated cigar teepees and massive tents with hearing etc is growing Hopefully a US-style system of cigar bars with 'sampling areas' will be the end result
shlomo Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Perfect timing with the looming massive tax hike....
Tino Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 The London cigar smoking scene is pretty vibrant, seems a new venue opens every month. We're still significantly behind pre-smoking ban levels though, about 3000 venues stopped selling cigars overnight when the ban came in.
PapaDisco Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Guess I'd better start cultivating a proper cookie duster: "He believes that cigar smoking is following the growing revival of pipe-smoking. Referring to the “chapists” (a phenomenon of young men reviving Edwardian values of chivalry, and a well-kept mustache),"
Habana Mike Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Interesting dichotomy given this article's take: http://www.telegraph...UK-by-2026.html Revival or disappearance
