canadianbeaver Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Question: do folks deep fry their turkeys in the driveway anymore?
jdo2110 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 My wife got shy with the pictures, so my plan didn't work so well, but yesterday was fantastic nonetheless. It was announcement day of Our pregnancy. First baby after trying without success for two and a half years. This is what I showed everyone...
Lant63 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Question: do folks deep fry their turkeys in the driveway anymore? Some people do use this style of cooking them, but the most common is baked in the oven with stuffing on the inside!
JHands Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 We had a large feast. So large in fact that we had it outside here in Florida. It was a brisk 55 when we ate around 6pm . Note the fire in the background, we will get there later. We ended up with. 3 turkey's - one oven baked, one smoked, and one deep fried in the driveway. We also had two ducks, and a ham, plus all the other side items. Here's some pics of the set up outside. Unfortunately I was so hungry by the time the food was served I didn't get a chance to snap a pic of all the food on the table. I enjoyed a cup of baileys and kahlua spiked coffee with a *****int purchased upmann no 2 to top off a wonderful day next to the fire.

Two of our close friends announced their pregnancy after two years of practicing yesterday as well! Most exciting times!
jdo2110 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Thank you very much. Ironically, and like everyone said, she got pregnant right after swearing she was going to take a month off mentally from the stress of it all : ) But I digress, back to Turkey talk!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TheFullMontecristo Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I have never made it to the US for Thanks Giving and it is on my bucket-list of things to do. What are your plans for Thanks Giving? Home? Travelling? Food? Special Cigar? I will put together a little 3 cigar sampler for the best Thanks Giving photo posted on this thread sooo El Prezo, who comes away with the sampler then?

TM-US Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Late to post- I'm not a fan of turkey at all, had some venison medallions with stuffing, roasted veggies and a nice Burgundy to wash it down. I've tried turkey roasted, smoked and deep fried, not my thing.
