I love a bet and everything about Horseracing is fascinating to me. It offers a wonderful parallel universe to get lost in when you need to escape from reality a little.

I've logged every bet since September 2000 and I'm a little bit down but just feel it is important to keep tabs as it is easy to kid yourself…any like minded souls out there on the forum?

I recon on average I have 3-6 bets a week and almost always on racing (the odd rugby bet in their too)…what about you?

Not a betting man myself

I'll have a crack at the two up on ANZAC day and chuck in for poker with the boys but I stay away from betting agencies and Casinos

I'll drink my money, I'll smoke my money, but I won't hand it over to some blackjack dealer in a cheap vest

Mate of mine owns a couple of horses...

I enjoy going for a few pints and throwing a few quid on a horse or two, nothing mad though.

Ok I will bite. Do you love your day job or is there some other reason you aren't a professional gambler with "stats" like that?

"stats" like that, I guess one could say are all relative, contingent on the size of the bet. (I'll never tell)

I think you've done well in poker yourself hoss!!!!

I like to punt. I don't track every bet, but measure success on money deposited vs money withdrawn. I have done OK.

My favourite bets are NBA Basketball because that's the sport I know best. Also I like and do OK at trading on horses through betfair exchange. I also look for and take advantage of all the promotions, special offers and free tipping comps with large prize pools the online bookmakers offer as they compete for market share. Twitter is good for this.

I actually really enjoy the horse racing, especially this time of year. Didn't care for it before I became a punter, but now enjoy it even when not betting (Group 1s that is, not sitting around watching country races on a Wednesday night)

I've also banned myself from betting on Soccer & the Olympic games. I have done poorly on those two.
