dafrey23
The Perks of Being a Wallflower Cast Charlie - Logan Lerman Patrick - Ezra Miller Sam - Emma Watson Mary Elizabeth - Mae Whitman Mr. Anderson - Paul Rudd Synopsis A young man (Charlie) endures the suicide of his best friend and death of his aunt in a car accident. Through these tragedies he develops some mental problems. He starts his freshman year of high school with no friends which exacerbates the mental issues to the point where he almost breaks down until he meets Patrick and Sam at a high school football game and they take him under their wings. They develop a friendship and each learns how they are all mentally flawed which helps Charlie control his issues. Over time Charlie and Sam get very close until Sam and Patrick both leave for college. At that point Charlie is left alone again and the mental problems resurface, only this time he is put into a hospital where the truth behind his problems surfaces. Review - 4-1/2/5 stars I love this movie. It tugs at your heart in both a happy and sad way. There's quite a few twists and turns you don't see coming, but it's a great coming of age story. It's really hard to summarize this movie without giving away major plot twists that would really ruin it for a first time viewer. Suffice to say, you'll really feel for each of the main characters by the time the movie ends. It's out in the US on Showtime right now so I recommend you record it or watch it live before it's gone. AlastairE
I watched this recently, and did enjoy it. Thought the acting was spot on and the storyline wasn't too predictable. Emma Watson is seriously good looking too I don't 100% comprehend the American school system though. Was Charlie in his first year of high-school and Sam and Patrick in their last? That's what I understood from the movie.

dafrey23
I watched this recently, and did enjoy it. Thought the acting was spot on and the storyline wasn't too predictable. Emma Watson is seriously good looking too I don't 100% comprehend the American school system though. Was Charlie in his first year of high-school and Sam and Patrick in their last? That's what I understood from the movie. Yes, Charlie was either in his first or second year and the others were in their last. It's a little tough to tell with Charlie since he didn't exactly come into high school the normal way. Emma Watson is definitely in my top 5. I'm a little concerned I might break her given she's so tiny, but I'll take that chance.
