It does not influence flavor transfer, as there is NO flavor transfer. Transfer what? The smell of the leaves from San Juan to the leaves from San Luis? That way, the flavors will concentrate at one end... and you will notice the differences immediately upon lighting. To have any validity, the cigar of the EXACT same blend must be smoked simultaneously for comparison (non-mixed, and stored in the same conditions). The cigars should also be smoked blindly.
