Ken Gargett Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 no doubt the tecnno-thingees among you would be aware of things like this but i have just discovered that they (they being presumably the companies behind the products or their pr people) are putting tv ads on sites on the internet for those who wish to suffer further. normally i would not even think of mentioning it but we have had a beer ad downunder that i think is a cracker (and i assure you that i have no financial or other interest but just thought some of you might enjoy it). see what you think. www.bigad.com.au
xrundog Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 Pretty good. Must have cost a boatload of $$ to make!
Tampa1257 Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 Good Ad, but the majority of the people are computer generated. All they needed was about 50 extras and a good computer guru to doctor it up a bit. BTW, How is the Brew?
JMH Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 » BTW, How is the Brew? Carlton Draught is a bit... meh. It's on the cheaper side of locally produced beers.
mgillett Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 The ad is definitely better than the beer. You can't beat Tooheys New
Freefallguy Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 You're right Ken, one cracker of an addie... I sat here in Panera(free wifi) LMHO! It's a bit like Budweiser Tampa, more money than the beer is worth!
Maverick Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 » The ad is definitely better than the beer. You can't beat Tooheys New » If we are going to start that game, then lets not forget to mention the scurg of all southeners "XXXX Gold". End Discussion. Ross...
Bill Hayes Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 » The ad is definitely better than the beer. You can't beat Tooheys New » You know as a Victorian I have to bite on this one. Great ad. Great beer. Great response to Tooheys trying to buy up all the pubs in Melbourne and serving their crappy New South Wales beer to us. ;-)
habanablue Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 I prefer a Carlton anyday to a Toohey's New!!! VB...don't even get me started....
Ken Gargett Posted December 12, 2005 Author Posted December 12, 2005 for me, usually the better the ad, the worse the beer. cascade or coopers, especially the pale (or on the rare occasions it is available, pikes) with an occasional boags are my picks.
Loki Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Another good example of why we should all drink beer. Homer would be proud.
cvm4 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 I liked it...Dare I say it could even rival some Budwieser commercials??? Naaaaaaaah :-P
Ken Gargett Posted December 13, 2005 Author Posted December 13, 2005 now if only bud could rival real beer....
