I'm not new to the site. (Been around for nearly a year) I have been following the forums and buying boxes on and off during that time. I have however never introduced myself. I'm an avid cigar smoker and have been enjoying many non CC sticks for years. I discovered online buying a couple of years ago when a friend told me about a non CC site that has the word cigar in it with a dot com at the end. ;-) (that is not a plug, I'm just not sure if its on to say the name on here) I have done a handful of trades on there in order to increase my appreciation for the variety of options that exist.

I ran across this site about a year ago and made my first purchase shortly after that. Now, I'm up to my ears in Partagas D4's and Cohiba's Rubustos. (some regular and some HQ's) I'm not much of a forum poster, but I'm ready for some ideas on what to try next. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks,

Kevin

Welcome to the forum Kevin. I would try to expand your experience with some of the other Marca's like Bolivar and Ramon Allones for a start. The only sure way to find out what you like is to smoke them. I would recommend trying some sampler packs or singles and reading and watching reviews will help you get an idea of what a particular sticks flavor profile is. Since these are almost all hand made, and dependent on the quality of tobacco and the skill of the roller each box is a unique experience.

Good luck with your search and enjoy the experience

....and there are much worse places to be than "up to your ears" in D-4's and CoRo's. :-)

Hi Kevin and welcome to FOH!

I agree you should expand your palate a bit, though starting with Partagas and Cohiba is a pretty good start.

Check out some Montecristos, Edmundo, #2, #4 are always good. Ramon Allones also nice. as mentioned above. I am partial to H Upmann, Mag 46 should be tried. Also Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure #2 is a good go to.

Some R&J and Por Larragnas should be tried as well, the PLPC in particular.

Get through some of those and you should start to get the idea.

Cheers
