I would like to try some new sticks. I have been smoking CC's for a couple of years now, but my CC stock is limited. Between limited availability issues and the inability to aquire singles here, I feel like i am missing out. I hesitate from buying full boxes when i dont know if i will enjoy them. I have some HQ Partagas D4's, HQ Cohiba's Rubustos and padron #6 (non CC).

You can buy singles from Rob through the *****INT site. He has a minimum order, but its less than $100 USD I think. Pick six or eight singles and I think you'll meet the minimum.

Do you know what the 10 pack HQ rubusto samplers consist of? I'm just hesitant on buying what I don't know that I will like. Thanks in advance for any advice that you can offer.

Email or PM Rob or Diana and they can tell you.

Trying all the robustos/hermoso No.4 is an essential step in the process of discovery in which you are engaging, then what's the risk?

You say you don't know what you will like, I guess you either don't know what you won't like?

btw, there is not a single robusto/hermoso #4 that I don't like and that I can say I'll never buy again… and I'm not even a fan of the size.

You say you have been smoking CC's for a few years but you haven't said what you do like.

Let us know what brands have tickled your fancy and there are many here who will give their opinion

to steer you towrds those tastes.

Or just order some samplers and let us know how it works out!

Awesome. Thanks for the advice!! I have PM'd Rob on the sampler. I can say that I really like the PD4's and the Cohiba's Rubustos. I have tried a El Hoya and Romone Allones, but it was very early on in the process. I will try samplers and go from there. The money isn't really the issue, it's been more a matter of buying a box that I don't like. Somehow, I doubt that I will not like any of the many options!! :-)

Do what I did and just buy 10 count boxes if available. Also, I took a plunge on most of the popular sticks and haven't been disappointed. If you don't like something fresh, let it sit and try one every 6 months to see if they change for the better. You can always trade them if you don't want to keep them so don't hesitate to buy boxes.

Hi there Kevfi,

I'm in the same situation you are in and ordered 2 samplers(robusto and corona) from *****AS a few weeks ago.

Best decision i made in a while when it comes to Cigars. Enjoying everyone one of them and the quality of each Cigar is simply fantastic. My plan is to try all the samplers and then decide on what i really like. So far, i like them all!!!!

Cheers

I would say buy between 3-10 singles of the cigar(s) you may be interested in. As the quality and performance varies from box to box and even sometimes single to single, is a good idea to try more than 1 or 2 of a specific cigar to really grasp if you enjoy or not. Just my 2 cents and what I've always done when interested in trying something new.
